What Mailwarden is
A tool that reads your Gmail metadata, groups it by sender, and — only with your explicit approval — archives or moves mail to trash. It is operated by Mansi Kalra, an individual, trading as BBI.
Beta status
Mailwarden is in closed beta while Google's OAuth review is in progress. Access is capped at 100 users by Google, not by us. During beta:
- You may occasionally be asked to reconnect your Google account.
- Features may change, and scheduled cleanup is not yet built.
- There is no uptime guarantee.
What we will not do to your mail
- We cannot permanently delete anything. The Google permission we use does not allow it.
- We never act without your explicit approval of a specific batch.
- We never send email as you — we do not hold that permission.
Your responsibilities
- Review what you approve. Mailwarden shows exactly what will move, and the decision is yours.
- Use it only on a Gmail account you own or are authorised to manage.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the safety limits or the access cap.
Trash and the 30-day clock
Archiving is reversible indefinitely — archived mail stays in All Mail. If you choose trash, Gmail permanently removes that mail after 30 days, and after that neither we nor Google can recover it. Mailwarden labels this clearly before you confirm. Undo works while the mail is still in trash.
Payment and refunds
- The free tier includes a full scan, full classification, and one complete cleanup.
- A Founding 100 seat is a one-time payment granting the paid feature set for the lifetime of the product.
- If Mailwarden does something to your mail you did not approve, you get a full refund on request, no questions.
- Otherwise, refunds are at our discretion within 14 days of purchase.
- "Lifetime" means the operational life of Mailwarden. If it shuts down, it stops. Stated plainly so it is not a surprise.
Liability
Mailwarden is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to what you paid us. Because we cannot permanently delete mail, the realistic worst case is mail moved to a place you can move it back from — and undo exists for exactly that.
Ending it
You can disconnect at any time; your stored data is purged within 24 hours. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or attempts to bypass safety limits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
